About BetterStructures
BetterStructures revitalizes your Minecraft worlds with custom-built structures, randomly placed and filled with a variety of mobs and loot, offering fresh exploration and excitement.
For an added challenge, packs like Elite Shrines combine BetterStructures with EliteMobs bosses, creating epic locations where players can battle powerful mini-bosses.
With the introduction of modular dungeons, BetterStructures now supports dynamically generated, multi-floor dungeons that are stitched together from smaller handcrafted modules. Each dungeon is unique, forming vast underground networks that rival or exceed the scale of multiple Trial Chambers combined. These dungeons bring a true sense of adventure and unpredictability to exploration no two will ever be quite the same. Whether you use the Dungeoneering Modules Free Pack or combine it with the Dungeoneering Modules Premium Pack for added variety, the system ensures every run feels distinct and rewarding.
If you also have FreeMinecraftModels installed, you can expand your world even further with the optional BetterStructures Prop Pack. This pack adds custom model props and decorations throughout structures and modular dungeons, enriching the atmosphere and detail of every generated build all while remaining fully compatible with the vanilla Minecraft style.
Plugin Setup
BetterStructures Plugin Setup
- Download BetterStructures & place it in the plugins folder.
BetterStructures Content Setup
You can create your own content, but if you’d like to install the hundreds of pre-made official BetterStructures builds, follow these steps:
- Go to nightbreak.io, magmaguy.itch.io or patreon.com/magmaguy.
- Download the content you want.
- Place the downloaded zip files (do not unzip them) in the folder
~/plugins/BetterStructures/imports. - Run the command
/bs reload. - You’re all set! Structures will now start spawning in new chunks.
Note that already-generated chunks will not have new structures.
Updating Content
Follow the same steps as for a normal installation. There is no need to uninstall or remove any files!
BetterStructures will automatically replace previous versions of the content when you import updated content. Structures will continue spawning in newly generated chunks.
#Dungeoneering Modules Premium
Dungeoneering Modules Premium expands on the modular dungeon system introduced in BetterStructures, adding 38 additional handcrafted modules that integrate seamlessly with the Free Pack. Each dungeon remains multi-floor and expansive, offering even more variety and surprises while fitting naturally into a vanilla Minecraft 1.20+ world.
The Premium Pack is designed to enhance the Free Pack, intertwining both packs to create a single, larger dungeon system with a significantly bigger pool of modules, reducing repetition and making each run feel unique. If you also install the BetterStructures Prop Pack through FreeMinecraftModels, you’ll see custom props throughout the dungeons, just like in our screenshots.

Dungeoneering Modules Free introduces modular dungeon generation to BetterStructures, adding 15 handcrafted modules that seamlessly stitch together into massive, multi-floor dungeons. Each dungeon is easily the size of six or more Trial Chambers, bringing exploration on Minecraft 1.20+ to an entirely new level while staying perfectly in line with the vanilla style.
The Free pack is designed to work as a complete dungeon on its own, but it also intertwines with Dungeoneering Modules Premium, combining both packs creates a single dungeon system with a larger pool of modules, greatly expanding variety and reducing repetition. If you also install the BetterStructures Prop Pack through FreeMinecraftModels, you’ll see custom props scattered throughout, just like in our screenshots.
